ABOUT THE SONG

Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes was released in 2003 as the opening track and lead single from the album Elephant. Written by Jack White, the song is built around one of the most recognisable riffs in modern rock music. The original recording is centred around E minor, and the famous low riff was actually created with a guitar processed to sound like a bass. The song won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song and has since become a worldwide stadium and sports anthem. On ukulele, it is a great piece for practising riff playing, timing, repetition and rhythmic confidence.
