ABOUT THE SONG

Blue (Da Ba Dee) by the Italian group Eiffel 65 was first released in 1998 and later appeared on their debut album Europop. The song is centred around G minor and became one of the defining Eurodance hits of the late 1990s, reaching No. 1 in many countries and becoming an international breakthrough for the group. Its distinctive processed vocals, electronic production and instantly recognisable melody helped make it a worldwide dance classic. On ukulele, it is a fun piece for practising Gm–F–E♭–Cm chord changes, syncopated rhythm and melodic riff playing.
